Elvis

I was 7 when Elvis died and I wasn’t really aware of who he was, but I remember the shock that his death caused. At that time I was a fan of David Soul. I wasn’t allowed to watch “Starsky and Hutch”, but I liked his songs! Tragic, but true.

  1. A brave admission. I was 19 and I remember the day he died. I went to a very large party at a friend’s house and everybody danced to Elvis all night. It seemed fitting.

  2. The death of Lennon when i was ten was much more shocking. I think that was the first thing which truly shocked me in my life.

Although I was a huge McCartney fan (I still love his first solo album) for years, I laughed when someone said “Has anyone else noticed that the Beatles seem to be leaving us in the wrong order?”.
