I’m Alex Hallatt, the creator of Arctic Circle, a comic strip about 3 penguins (who have emigrated to the Arctic), with an underlying green theme. In my own life, I try to make eco-conscious choices. However, I like the 21st century, so I am happy to see technology (yay, cheaper solar power!), communities (hooray for farmers’ markets!) and political action (emission reduction targets, please!) help to make it easier to be kind to the planet.

Arctic Circle Cartoons 
Hello Alex! I enjoy your comic strip. I visited New Zealand a few years ago. Mostly spent time on the south island; Dunedin specifically. It’s a beautiful country.
I have a comic strip as well. It’s called Welcome to Falling Rock National Park; it takes place at a fictional national park in the southwest (I grew up in Arizona, so that’s what I know best). Falling Rock runs in a number of university newspapers; the dream is to one day be syndicated.

If you right click (control click for mac) the comic, it should allow you to copy the http address (URL) of the image (“copy image address”). Then past this URL into your post. That way, it will display the image from my blog inside yours!

Fantastic cartoons. I am working in the Antarctic for the British Antarctic Survey and getting to see the real penguins (and polar bears in the northern summmer when we head for the Arctic). I have added a link to your site on one of my pages, trust that is ok.

Mike, that’s great! Sorry about the whole penguins in the Arctic thing – I have to explain that they are immigrants every now and again, since they don’t belong there! The sheathbills are funny (kind of like keas in NZ) – are they limited to the Antarctic?
